Passengers and kayaks are transported on the Out There Kayak Expedition’s 26-foot pontoon boat for launching in the bayside habitat for close-up exploration of the Everglades’ only publicly accessible Key, North Nest Key, and then kayak the flats to nearby South Nest Key and Duck Key for observing the birds in their native habitat. Potential viewing of roseate spoonbills, numerous other wading birds and lots of sea life.
Cost: $60 includes boat ride and kayak use. $20 each for 2 non-kayakers going along for the ride.
Limit: 4 kayakers and 2 passengers
Tips: Bring viewing and photo equipment and sun protection.
