This state park has a fascinating history from botany, to geology and politics. As development in the Keys followed the railroad, it passed this area, except on paper. When developers eventually turned to North Key Largo, their goals would meet a different environment. What is here, what it was to become and how it was saved will be explained in this exciting walk through the hammock. Janice will also identify native plants and wildlife.
